    Publication Date: August 08, 2000 Source: Albuquerque Journal Page: B2 Obituary: Police on Monday identified a woman killed in a four-car crash in the Northeast Heights on Sunday. Kellye R. Camp of Creekwood NW died in the accident at Carlisle and Comanche NE, according to an Albuquerque Police Department report. The accident happened about 2 p.m. and injured nine other people, the report said. Camp was driving an Oldsmobile four-door car when it was hit broadside by a Ford four-door car, which was being driven by Juanita Rutledge, 76, of Beryl NW, the report said. The Oldsmobile was stopped at a light on westbound Comanche. The Ford was traveling north on a residential access road that parallels Carlisle when it crossed the dead-end curb at Comanche, crossed the eastbound lanes of Comanche and hit the Oldsmobile, the report said. The Oldsmobile was pushed into a Ford sport-utility vehicle, which in turn was pushed into a Volvo car, the report said. Both of those vehicles were also in the westbound lanes and stopped at the light. Rutledge along with a 32-year-old woman and two children, 7 and 5, in the Ford car were injured, but updates about their conditions weren't available on Monday. Two children, 6 and 3, in the Oldsmobile, two men, 47 and 31, in the Ford SUV, and a woman in the Volvo, 53, were injured. Information about their conditions also wasn't available.


    Albuquerque Journal - July 13, 2003 Robert C."Bob" Camp, 85, a resident of Belen, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2003. Bob was born in North Port, Alabama outside of Tuscaloosa in 1918, to J.W. and Bell Camp. Bob moved to Belen in 1943 where he immediately began working for the railroad. He worked for the AT & SF Railroad and retired in 1986 as a conductor after 35 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Belen Shooting Sports Association. Bob loved shooting trap and he was also a well-known dog trainer. He trained dogs to hunt quail and other species; he loved to hunt with his own dogs. Bob hunted quail and pheasants throughout New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Bell Camp. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Andrea of the family home in Belen; his two sons, Rick of Belen; and Danny and his wife, Paula of Roswell, NM; his five grandchildren, Tanya McGee and her husband, Tim of Eureka, CA, Brian Camp of Riverside, CA, Ty Camp of Roswell, NM, Shannon Chandler and her husband, Matthew of Clovis, NM, and Anthony Camp of Belen; his great-grandson, Zachary McGee; and his great-granddaughter, Marin McGee, both of Eureka, CA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. Main St. Belen.
